Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound of Italian sausage
  • 24 ounces of marinara sauce
  • 1 cup of ricotta cheese
  • 1 lightly beaten egg
  • 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon each of salt and black pepper
  • 8 sheets of No-Boil Lasagna Noodles
  • 6 fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Over medium heat, brown the Italian sausage in a medium-sized skillet. Crumble it during cooking. Once fully browned, drain any excess fat and stir in the marinara sauce. Set this aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the ricotta, beaten egg, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Set this aside as well.
  3. Spray an 8x8x2.5 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  4. To assemble the lasagna, start by adding 1/4 of the sauce to the bottom of the dish. Layer two sheets of lasagna noodles on top, breaking them as needed for a proper fit. Spread 1/3 of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by two torn basil leaves. Sprinkle 1/4 of the mozzarella on top. Repeat this process two more times.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 360 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  6. Place the assembled lasagna in the air fryer and cook for 30 minutes. Then, cover the dish with foil and continue to cook for an additional 20 minutes at 280 degrees F.
  7. Allow the lasagna to stand for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and freshly chopped basil.
