Ten-Minute Garlic Flatbreads

Ingredients:

  • 350g of flour
  • 1 spoonful of baking powder
  • Salt to taste
  • To brush: 60ml oil and 120ml water
  • Pressed Garlic (adjust to taste)
  • A little oil
  • Herbs to taste (rosemary, mint, parsley)

 

Getting Ready:

Prepare the Dough:

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Combine oil and water into the dry ingredients, kneading until a smooth dough forms. Adjust with more flour or water if needed.

Shaping the Flatbreads:

Shape the Dough:

  1. Pinch off small balls of dough.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll each ball into a thin circle (1/8 to 1/4 inch thick).

Cook the Flatbreads:

  1. Heat a pan or pot on medium heat to prevent sticking.
  2. Cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and slightly puffed.

Brush with Garlic Oil:

  1. Mix oil, pressed garlic, and herbs in a small bowl for brushing.
  2. Brush the garlic oil mix over each flatbread while warm for added flavor.

Ideas for Serving:

  • Enjoy hot from the pan or use as:
    • A base for personal pizzas.
    • A dipper for stews or soups.
    • A wrap for sandwiches or gyros.
    • Pair with various dips like hummus, tzatziki, or baba ganoush.
