- 8 oz cremini or baby bella mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Β½ cup chicken or beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Β½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

- Optional: 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese (for richness)

Step 1: Prep and Sear the Steaks
- Pat steaks dry and season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat oil or butter in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear steaks for 3β4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust for desired doneness).
- Remove steaks and let them rest, covered loosely with foil.
Step 2: Make the Mushroom Sauce
- In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add mushrooms and garlic. SautΓ© for 3β4 minutes until mushrooms are browned and fragrant.
- Stir in broth, cream, Dijon, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 5β8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens slightly.
- Optional: Stir in parmesan cheese for a richer flavor.
Step 3: Serve
- Plate the rested steaks.
- Spoon mushroom sauce generously over each steak.
