1. Prepare the Pepper Steak
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the steak strips, seasoning them with salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Sear the steak for 3–4 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté the onions, garlic, and bell peppers until softened and fragrant. Combine with the cooked steak and set aside.
2. Cook the Macaroni
- Boil the macaroni in salted water according to the package instructions until al dente.
- Drain the macaroni and set it aside.
3. Make the Cheese Sauce
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the flour to create a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the milk and heavy cream, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
4. Combine and Serve
- Toss the cooked macaroni in the cheese sauce until fully coated.
- Plate the macaroni cheese and top it with the prepared pepper steak and vegetables.
