Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract (or any additional flavoring) and mix well.
- Incorporate Dry Ingredients:
- Gradually sift in the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms. Be careful not to overmix to maintain a tender texture.
- Shape the Cookies:
- Roll the dough into a log, wrap it in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Alternatively, roll the dough out and use cookie cutters for desired shapes.
- Preheat the Oven:
- Set the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking trays with parchment paper.
- Bake the Cookies:
- Arrange the cookies on the baking tray, leaving space between them. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges turn golden.
- Cool and Serve:
- Let the cookies cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
