  • 2 tsp baking powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Vegetables:
    • Grate the potatoes and place them in a large bowl.
    • Chop the onion, grate the carrot, and chop the pepper. Add to the bowl.
    • Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the potatoes, onion, carrot, and pepper until softened. Add salt and chopped chives.
  2. Prepare the Batter:
    • In a bowl, beat the eggs and mix with milk.
    • In another bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
    • Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg-milk mixture, stirring until smooth.
  3. Combine and Rest:
    • Mix the sautéed vegetables with the batter.
    • Let the mixture rest for 15 minutes.
  4. First Bake:
    • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
    • Grease a baking dish and pour in the vegetable mixture. Spread evenly.
    • Bake for 45 minutes until golden and set.
  5. Add Cheese and Final Bake:
    • Sprinkle grated cheese over the top.
    • Bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve:
    • Cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm.
