  • 1 ½ cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 ¾ cups warm milk
  • 2 ½ cups cooked chicken, chopped
  • 8 ounces deli ham, chopped
  • ½ cup shredded Swiss cheese (for topping)
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • Italian seasoning, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook Lasagna Noodles: Boil water with a pinch of salt, add lasagna noodles, and cook until al dente (about 8 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare Cheese Sauce:
    • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
    • Add cream cheese, stirring until melted and combined (about 5 minutes).
    • Season with salt, onion powder, and black pepper.
    • Gradually whisk in warm milk until smooth.
    • Stir in 1 ½ cups shredded Swiss cheese until melted and thickened (5–10 minutes). Remove from heat.
  4. Assemble Lasagna:
    • Spread ¾ cup cheese sauce on the bottom of a 9×9-inch baking dish.
    • Layer one-third of noodles, then half the chicken and ham.
    • Pour 1 cup cheese sauce over the chicken and ham.
    • Repeat layers with half the remaining noodles, chicken, ham, and 1 cup cheese sauce.
    • Place final noodle layer, remaining cheese sauce, ½ cup shredded Swiss cheese, and bread crumbs. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  5. Bake:
    • Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes until bubbling.
    • Remove foil, bake an additional 10 minutes until breadcrumbs are golden brown.
  6. Serve: Let stand for 5–10 minutes before serving.
